Guido Reni — The Immaculate Conception (1627)

Painted in Rome in 1627 by Guido Reni, the most celebrated painter in Italy in his lifetime, known as "the Divine" for the grace of his figures. Commissioned by the Spanish ambassador for the infanta of Spain, it later hung in Seville Cathedral, where it shaped a generation of Spanish painters. Held today by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, and released into the public domain.
Set onto the wallet from the museum's own open-access file, the full vertical composition carried across the leather-look face: the single central figure against a warm gold sky, flanking angels below.
